Jim Ballas Is One Of The Pre-Eminent Practitioner
One of the least understood, but most effective, marketing techniques is direct response television marketing. This is when a company or entrepreneur purchases ad time on television, usually in a block of time. Then, in what is sometimes termed an “infomercial”, a spokesman pitches a product to the audience and asks them to respond directly by dialing a number or accessing a website immediately.
Jim Ballas is one of the pre-eminent practitioners of direct response television marketing today. His skills have been proven in a long career in the industry. Ballas first got involved in the industry he has now mastered in the middle of the 1980s. He has since become the go-to-guy in the direct response television industry.
He got his start in the modeling and acting industries when he was just a teenager. He was “discovered” while swimming in the pool at a hotel. He then starred in a commercial for Busch Gardens which aired locally. Over the years he would go on to work with many companies who used DRTV methods to pitch their products. As the on-screen personality, he helped them to sell everything from rare coins to music compilations. This success was made possible by his background—and the resulting comfort he felt in front of the camera.
